Touching the Hardest Hearts
After a very moving and busy Enthronement Weekend in New York, the assistant priest helped me to carry the material from the church to my car. As we were walking he made the following beautiful comment:
“You know I have only been a priest for a short time but it has been wonderful. One of the Twelve Promises that Jesus made to St. Margaret Mary for those devoted to His Sacred Heart was that, “I will give priests the power of touching the most hardened hearts”. Father continued, “Wherever I go I will frequently say some words on the Sacred Heart and then announce that confessions are available, and you know it really works. Hardened hearts are being touched.”
